Police say Cody Churchwell, 31, was driving a white van when he struck Quinn around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of South Ivy Street. Churchwell then left the scene, according to police. He was arrested last week and is expected to face indictment Thursday on one count of failure to perform the duties of a driver, court records show.
Quinn's family released a statement describing who she was beyond the headline. "She wasn't just a daughter, sister, friend, a teammate, a captain, or a dancer," they said. "She was an inspirational young leader."
