Softball releases schedule for the fall

The Red Raiders hit the road October 11 to face the Lady Buffs in Canyon, same 2 p.m. Start. A doubleheader against New Mexico follows on October 18 in Lubbock, starting at noon. Fall ball wraps up October 24 against Odessa College at 1 p.m., closing out the short slate at home.

Every game at Tracy Sellers Field is free and open to the public. That matters for families in the Tech Terrace and Raintree areas looking for a low-cost afternoon out, and for fans who want an early look at this year's roster without paying for a ticket. Fall ball doesn't count in the standings, but it's the first real chance to see how new faces fit before the spring grind starts.

One road trip to Canyon and a doubleheader against New Mexico round out the fall calendar. Blink and you'll miss it, but it's Lubbock softball back on the field before October even ends.
