Red Raiders complete the reverse sweep over Prairie View A&M

Prairie View, still winless at 0-8, took the first two sets 25-23 before Tech found its rhythm. Sara Bowcutt carried the offense with 25 kills, and Elia Dinsmore added 12, both finishing with double-doubles on the night.

The comeback ran through the middle of the lineup too. Katelyn Cochran ran the offense with 45 assists and 10 digs for her first double-double of the season, while Emily Contreras set a new career high with 21 digs. Kayla Robertson also posted a career best with 11 kills, and Shelby Ignash matched her with 11 kills and two blocks.

For a Tech squad still finding its identity early in the season, digging out of an 0-2 hole against a struggling opponent says something about depth. Five different players stepped up in a match that could have slipped away in three sets. That kind of balance, scoring spread across hitters, a setter racking up digs, a libero-type performance from the back row, gives Lubbock volleyball fans a reason to pay attention as conference play approaches.

A team that trailed 0-2 walked away with four different career or season-best stat lines in the same match.
