It is Google's second Fitbit tracker of 2026, aimed at fans of the aging Charge 6. The pill-shaped 1.34-inch OLED touch display sits in a slender aluminum frame rated IP68 (5 ATM) for water and dust protection. Google says the screen has 46 percent more viewable area than the Charge 6.
The Edge is close to the Fitbit Air in size and uses the same magnetic charging puck. Android phones and iPhones both work with it through the Google Health app. It carries more health sensors than the Air, but it is not a real smartwatch, so you don't get the full apps and features of the Pixel Watch 5.
Battery life runs about seven days. If the Edge is away from your phone, it still tracks your activity all week, storing seven days of full health data or 30 days of basic data. Turn on the always-on display and the battery drops to about two days, barely longer than the Pixel Watch 5. The touchscreen handles most interactions, while a side button wakes the device or starts and pauses workouts.
The Pixel Watch has two buttons, the Air has none, and the Edge lands exactly on one.
