It is only the second meeting between the Red Raiders and Wildcats as Big 12 opponents. Texas Tech won the first one 28-22 in the 2024 season. Tickets are still available.
The Red Raiders play Cincinnati first, on Saturday, October 24, also at 11 a.m. A win would push their undefeated season to 7-0.
Halloween has more than football. Texas Tech men's tennis has the Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge that day, though the start time is unclear. The Texas Tech Athletics calendar is the place to check. The Red Raiders also run in the 2026 Big 12 Cross Country Championship, hosted by Oklahoma State at the Greiner Family Cross Country Course. The Big 12 website will post more information as October 31 gets closer.
For families stocking up on candy for trick-or-treaters, that makes a full day of Red Raider options. Football is the easy one to plan around. Tennis and cross country take a little more checking.
