The Red Raiders are 2-0 in the Big 12, while the Sun Devils sit at 3-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play. Last year, quarterback Will Hammond led Tech to a 22-19 lead in the fourth quarter. Then running back Raleek Brown ran in the game-winning touchdown for ASU with 34 seconds left.

Hammond's Hail Mary fell incomplete, and Sun Devil fans stormed the field.

Head coach Joey McGuire has not let it go. "I thought they outcoached us last year in winning that game," he said. He wants running backs touching the ball in the run game, and he thinks the staff put too much on Hammond, who was a young player then. McGuire expects Hammond to be fired up, since it was the one start he lost last year.

Arizona State has struggled lately. The Sun Devils lost 48-20 at Texas A&M and 55-19 at home to Baylor on Oct. 3. They bounced back with a 30-12 win over Hawai'i in a non-conference game.
