The network announced the move in a short promo spot with Olson during its Monday Night Football telecast. The episode will also stream on Disney+, a first for the show. It won't be the season three premiere, and ABC hasn't announced a debut date for that season, which is part of its midseason lineup.

Olson plays a woman with an "exceptional mind," as the show's logline puts it, whose knack for solving crimes lands her a consulting job with the LAPD. Daniel Sunjata, Javicia Leslie, Deniz Akdeniz, Amirah J, Matthew Lamb and Judy Reyes also star. Drew Goddard created the series, based on the French show Haute Potentiel Intellectuel.

The show already has momentum. Season two averaged 16 million cross-platform viewers over 35 days, third among all network shows outside live sports for the 2025-26 season. It also led every non-sports network series with adults 18-49, posting a 3.35 rating, about 4.56 million people. ABC has the Super Bowl rights for the first time since 2006, and the game will also run on ESPN and Disney+.

The last scripted show to follow the game, CBS' Tracker premiere in 2024, drew 18.44 million viewers in a single night.
