The incident happened around 23:00 local time Sunday aboard Delta Flight 938. Airport officials responded to a call about "a physically abusive passenger," and the New York Port Authority said two flight attendants were hurt, with one going to a hospital. CBS News reported the crew allegedly restrained Blair. Air traffic control audio it obtained caught the pilot asking for medical personnel and citing a "bloody nose as well as some bite marks."

Law enforcement met the plane as it arrived at John F Kennedy International Airport. A federal law enforcement source said the summons charges assault within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the US. Blair must appear in petty violation court in Brooklyn, though no date is set. Delta said the incident had no operational impact on the flight.

Blair, 54, who also starred in Hellboy and Cruel Intentions, ended up under arrest and in a hospital. Her publicist says she experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct and is in stable condition. Delta said it has zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behavior and that customer and crew safety comes first.

Blair largely stepped back from film work after her 2018 multiple sclerosis diagnosis.
