Edna White, a 92-year-old Lubbock resident, passed away on Monday, August 17th, 2026, at Carillon House. Born in Seminole, Texas, on July 31, 1934, she was the youngest of Bessie Bea Sparks Parker and Raymond Parker's three children.

Born in Seminole, Texas, on July 31, 1934, she was the youngest of Bessie Bea Sparks Parker and Raymond Parker's three children. Her childhood included older siblings Johnny Joe Parker and Annie Ruth Carter. White distinguished herself early, graduating salutatorian from Seminole High School at just 16. She then moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech University, where she joined her sister. After earning her degree, she began a career in bookkeeping.

The Lubbock community can honor White's life at several upcoming events. Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home will host a family gathering Sunday, August 23rd, from 5pm to 7pm. A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Monday, August 24th, at 10am, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Following the service, interment will take place at Trinity Memorial Park.
