What are the Texas Tech Rec Center hours?

For Summer 2026 the Rec Center is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Sunday noon to 7:00 PM. The leisure pool, family hours, and the Outdoor Pursuits Center each run on their own schedule, listed below.

When do Texas Tech classes start?

Fall 2026 classes begin August 24 and run through December 2, with final exams December 4–9. The Spring 2027 semester starts January 13, with spring break March 13–21 and the last day of class on May 4.

How does the Texas Tech campus bus work?

Citibus runs the Texas Tech campus routes alongside city service in Lubbock. Campus routes follow the academic calendar, so service is reduced outside the fall and spring semesters. Check the live schedule before you head out.

Where do visitors park at Texas Tech?

Texas Tech offers both free and paid visitor options, and the rules change on game days. Exact rules and current rates live on parking.ttu.edu — check there before you visit.

• Start at a campus entry station. The kiosks sit along the main campus entrances and are staffed Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM during the academic year and 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM in the summer.
• Attendants hand out campus maps, give directions, and point you to the closest lot for where you are headed.
• Visitors have both free and paid parking options across campus, and the entry station can tell you which is closest.
• If you get a citation, you can set up a Visitor My Parking Account and appeal it online.
