Common questions

How do I submit an obituary in Lubbock?

A family can submit an obituary to 806 Connect free of charge using the form on this site. A person reads every submission before it appears. Funeral homes also publish obituaries on their own sites, and 806 Connect links to those originals rather than reprinting them.

Does 806 Connect charge families to publish an obituary?

No. Publishing an obituary on 806 Connect is free, and it will stay free. There is no length limit that costs extra, no photo fee, and no paid placement on this page.

Where do these obituaries come from?

Each entry lists the facts of a service — name, date, funeral home, and service details — and links to the full obituary published by the funeral home. 806 Connect does not reprint obituary text it did not receive from the family.

How do I correct or remove an entry?

Email contact@806connect.com and a person will correct or remove the entry. Requests from family are honored without argument and without requiring a reason.
