What the agencies publish themselves

The points here come from volunteers, so the count will not match anything an agency says. This page does not compare them. The agencies’ own statements, and the questions neighbors have raised about them, are in these places.

A missing or wrong camera?

This map only shows what is on OpenStreetMap, so corrections happen there. 806 Connect does not take reports about cameras and cannot edit the map.

  2. Leave a note or edit it

    Anyone can leave a note on the map without an account. To move, fix or remove a point, sign in to OpenStreetMap (it is free) and edit it.

    This page asks OpenStreetMap for fresh data about once a day. The “map data as of” date shows what it last got.

About this data

Source
OpenStreetMap, the free map that volunteers edit. A camera is here when a contributor has added a point tagged as a license-plate reader.
Not complete
Not every road has been checked. Some cameras are not mapped, some points are old, and a few may be counted twice.
Where it covers
The 45 Texas counties in the 806 area code. Points near Seminole, which is in the 432 area code, are left out.
What is shown
Where the point is and, only when the contributor tagged it, the maker, the operator, the type of camera and the way it faces. Free-text notes are not shown. A point tagged as private property shows as a point and nothing more. A point marked as a home is left out.
What we add
Nothing. We do not move, merge or score points, and we do not add cameras from any other source. The list sorts by distance from the place you search.
