Where money and content meet on 806 Connect: what a business can pay for, how paid spots are labeled, and what payment never buys.
What a business can pay for
Current prices and plan details are on the advertise page. In short:
- Listing plans. Paid plans add things like the 806 Verified badge, edits that publish right away, an analytics tab, more photos and a leads inbox. The Featured plan also includes a top spot, set by hand, on the 806 Pro trade pages.
- Pro Partner. A monthly plan where customer requests on 806 Pro go to one business at a time, never resold to several.
- Sponsorships. A sponsor spot beside news stories, and sponsors for a section or a neighborhood page.
How paid spots are labeled
Every paid spot says so on the spot itself, not behind a link: Sponsored, or Featured · Paid placement. The 806 Verified badge comes with a paid plan, and the explanation next to it says what it means.
What payment never buys
- A higher spot in the directory. Search and the Explore, category, town and neighborhood pages are ordered the same way for every business, paying or not. Our standards page explains how.
- A place on a Best Of list. Best Of lists take no paid placement.
- Reviews. No business can pay to add, hide, remove or reorder a review.
- News coverage. Sponsors do not see stories before they run and cannot change or pull them. Paying us does not get a business covered, and it does not keep a business out of the news.
- Fixes to basic facts. Correcting a listing's hours, phone number or address is free for everyone.
806 Connect and 806 Growth
806 Connect was founded by Brandon R., who also runs 806 Growth, a marketing company for local businesses. 806 Connect points owners to 806 Growth's free tools and services. You can use either one without buying the other, and being an 806 Growth client does not change where a business shows up here or what we report about it.
