Five wounded in shooting at Virginia State University, suspect arrested - Al Jazeera

Lubbock Police arrested Camron Harris, reportedly from the Frenship area, early Saturday morning. Authorities located him hiding in a vacant apartment just off University Avenue. Officers had responded to urgent reports of gunfire around 1:30 AM in the heart of the Depot District, where the incident unfolded.

Four of the five injured individuals, like Harris, are not enrolled at the university. The shooting happened mere blocks from the university's main entrance, sending immediate shockwaves through the neighborhood.
