Frenship exacts revenge with 50-17 win at Lubbock Cooper - KCBD
Frenship's Tigers rolled into Woodrow and handed Lubbock-Cooper a 50-17 loss Friday night, settling the score from last year's defeat with one of the most lopsided results between these two programs in recent memory. Quarterback James Ordonez made his debut count.

He connected with wide receiver Zade McClure for the first two touchdowns of the game, then found Noah Gonzales for another score, giving the Tigers an early statement that this was not going to be a close one. Frenship's offense moved the ball with enough consistency to put the Pirates away before the night got old.
For folks in Lubbock who follow district football, this one stings a little differently for Cooper. A 33-point margin is hard to spin any other way. Cooper's defense had no answer for Ordonez, and the offense couldn't keep pace.
Both programs now turn the page to next Friday. Frenship hosts Lubbock-Cooper Liberty, who just put up 49 points against Frenship Memorial. Cooper draws Midland Greenwood, which beat Tuscola Jim Ned 39-12 in its own opener.
The Tigers are 1-0. The question now is whether Ordonez's debut was a preview of what this offense can do all season.
