Hall, Valdez voted Happy State Bank High School Athletes of the Week - Lubbock Avalanche-Journal

Hall completed 27 of 40 passes and added 72 yards on nine carries on the ground in the win. He pulled in 3,062 of the 7,346 total votes cast, good for 41.7 percent, beating out the rest of the field by a wide margin.

On the girls side, Hereford volleyball player Kyndall Valdez took home the award for the same week. She racked up 47 digs in a win over Pampa and added 24 more digs in another victory, showing the kind of back row consistency that wins these polls week after week.

Both awards come from Happy State Bank's ongoing athlete of the week program, which puts local high school standouts up for a public vote. For families in Bushland and Hereford, the recognition is a nice spotlight on kids putting up serious numbers this season.
