Lubbock Public Library announces week of events - KCBD

The Monday morning session runs from 10 to 10:30 a.m. And includes reading, songs and sensory play for kids age 2 and under, with caregivers welcome to join in. It happens every third Monday at the Patterson branch, so parents who missed this round can catch the next one on the same schedule. Later that same day, the Godeke Branch Library on Frankford Avenue hosts DIY Fidget Toys from 4:30 to 6 p.m., open to kids age 9 and up.

For families scattered across Lubbock, from the neighborhoods near Patterson to those closer to Godeke, the lineup gives parents two free, low-key options on opposite sides of town on the same day. The fidget toy session works on a first-come, first-served basis for supplies, so showing up early matters if your kid wants to build one. Neither program requires much beyond showing up, which makes them easy additions to a Monday afternoon or morning routine.
