Plainview police investigating stabbing at Kidsville Park - fox34.com

Plainview police are investigating a stabbing that sent a teenage male to Covenant Hospital's emergency room Saturday night after a disturbance at Kidsville Park in the 3600 block of W.
Officers responded to the hospital around 11:40 p.m. After the teen arrived with multiple stab wounds. Investigators determined the assault happened at the park. The wounds were described as non-life-threatening.
Detectives are still piecing together exactly what went down. No arrests have been announced, and police have not released details about how many people were involved or what sparked the confrontation.
For a park built around family use, a late-night stabbing is a jarring thing for Plainview residents to sit with, especially without answers yet about who was involved or why. Kidsville Park is the kind of place parents take their kids on weekends, which makes the location all the more unsettling for folks in that part of town.
Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Hall or Captain Balderas at (806) 296-1182. The investigation is ongoing, and no suspects have been publicly identified.
