Lubbock police have increased the reward in the unsolved 2017 hit-and-run death of 21-year-old Alcadio Barron, hoping someone will finally come forward nearly a decade after the crash on the Marsha Sharp Freeway access road. According to a statement released Wednesday, a motorist flagged down an officer around 12:30 a.m.
According to a statement released Wednesday, a motorist flagged down an officer around 12:30 a.m. On Feb. 10, 2017, to report a man walking in the middle of the street on the eastbound access road near Marsha Sharp Freeway and Avenue Q. The officer responded to the 1900 block of that access road and found Barron lying in the road. Whoever hit him never stopped.
