Postgame Notes: Texas Tech at Oregon State

Texas Tech beat Oregon State 35-24 in Corvallis on Saturday, pushing the No.
The win came in front of 30,539 fans at Reser Stadium under light rain and a 64 degree sky, wrapping up a two-game contract between the programs that dates back to 2018. It marked only the third meeting ever between Texas Tech and Oregon State. The two schools had not played at all between 1959 and last season, when Tech throttled the Beavers 45-14 in Lubbock. Add in a 15-14 squeaker back in 1959, and Tech has now beaten Oregon State every single time they've met.
For a fan base that spends most Saturdays watching Tech deal with Big 12 grinders, a road trip to the Pacific Northwest against an unfamiliar opponent is a nice change of pace. A 2-0 start with a true road win, even a non-conference one, matters for a team trying to build early season momentum and hang onto a top-15 ranking heading into tougher matchups ahead.
Three meetings across 67 years, and Oregon State still has never beaten Texas Tech.
