Texas Tech football players, staff eager to see Paramount+ docuseries - Lubbock Avalanche-Journal

A Paramount+ docuseries on Texas Tech football, "The Program: Texas Tech," drops Friday, Sept.

The four-part series was shot over the past eight months, following players and staff through their day-to-day operations. That's on top of the in-house cameras Tech athletics already runs for creative services and social media, meaning this team has been living in front of a lens for most of the year.

For players, the timing is hard to ignore. A national streaming debut on a Friday, then kickoff on a Saturday, turns a regular season opener into something bigger. Fans in Lubbock who want to show up to Galaxy Stadium already fired up will have four episodes of behind-the-scenes footage to get through the night before. Players and staff have said they're eager to see how it all came together, with at least one running back mentioning he's caught a few of the trailers.

Texas Tech joining the docuseries world puts the Red Raiders alongside programs that have used the format to build national attention well beyond their conference footprint.
