Texas Tech-Houston reaches sellout status - Texas Tech Red Raiders - Texas Tech Red Raiders

Texas Tech's Big 12 opener against Houston has sold out in advance, marking the third advance sellout of the 2026 season at Galaxy Stadium. The sellout keeps a streak alive.

The sellout keeps a streak alive. Texas Tech has now sold its primary ticket inventory for 10 straight home games dating back to the start of the 2025 season, including the non-conference finale against Sam Houston set for Sept. 26. Fans still chasing seats have another deadline creeping up too, with less than 500 tickets left for the Oct. 17 matchup against Arizona State.

That Arizona State game kicks off a stretch of three home games in a row. If it sells out like everything else has, the streak moves to 11 straight, the kind of run most programs only dream about. For people in Lubbock, that means Galaxy Stadium keeps being one of the hardest tickets in town on fall Saturdays. Tailgate lots will fill early, and secondary market prices will likely climb as game day approaches. Anyone hoping to walk up and buy a ticket at the gate should probably rethink that plan.
