Lubbock has three big draws this weekend, from George Lopez at a comedy show to Randy Rogers Band on stage to Mo's Market setting up shop, plus a Friday night tribute act and a Texas Tech football matchup against Houston.
Jake's Sports Cafe & Backroom kicks things off Friday at 7 p.m. With a Limp Bizkit and Rage Against the Machine tribute band, music starting at 8:30 p.m. That same night, Texas Tech takes on Houston at 7 p.m., and folks who can't make it to the game have plenty of spots around town to catch it on a screen.
Rock fans can head to Jake's for the tribute show, football fans have a Red Raiders matchup to rally around, and comedy, shopping, and live music round out the rest of the schedule.
That means something for everyone. Downtown and the Depot District crowd get another excuse to go out, while Tech students and alumni have a home game to rally behind. Shoppers can swap the mall for something different at Mo's Market.
Five events, one weekend, and not a single one requires leaving Lubbock to find it.
