Get ready to fire up your appetite, Lubbock, because the annual Raider Red Meats Barbecue & Ribeye Championship is bringing the state's top pitmasters to Texas Tech on August 21-22. The two-day event, held in the Commuter West parking lot, offers more than just championship barbecue.

Teams will battle for $15,000 in prize money, vying across five categories: brisket, pork, ribs, ribeye steak, and chicken. Colleges, universities, and student organizations will also square off in a separate collegiate division.
