Carroll RB Sebastian Robles' record night leads Week 5 top performers

Robles' performance topped the previous school record of 339 yards, set by Noah Lisk against East Central back in 2014. Carroll pulled away in the second half behind Robles on the ground and quarterback Seth Neatherlin, who threw five touchdown passes in the win.

The 342-yard night lands Robles third all-time in CCISD history for a single game. Only two performances rank higher. Miller's Charles Perry ran for 412 yards against Moody in 2001, and Moody's Carl Caraway put up 359 yards against Victoria Stroman.

For Carroll, the win opens district play with a statement. Putting up 50 points against Flour Bluff and setting a program rushing record on the same night gives the Tigers momentum heading into the rest of their season. Robles' name now sits alongside players from a stretch of Corpus Christi football that spans generations.

Twenty-six carries. Three yards short of the second-best single game run in district history. Not bad for a Friday night that started as just another district opener.
