Cody Mitt Scarborough Obituary - Lubbock Avalanche-Journal

Born right here in Lubbock in 1977, Cody graduated from Frenship in 1996. His parents were Tom Mitt and Scherry Scarborough. He first enlisted in the Navy, serving five years as a Flight Engineer. He then earned an Aeronautical Engineering degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He returned to the Navy as an officer in 2005. Scarborough continued his education throughout his career, completing the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and earning his masters degree at Webster University. He steadily climbed the ranks to Captain. His commitment to service defined his life far from the South Plains.

His passing leaves a void for his family and for anyone who values dedication to country. Lubbock often sends its best out into the world. Cody Scarborough certainly answered that call with distinction, serving proudly until his death in Arlington, Virginia.
