Coronado vs. Frenship Memorial, 8 p.m. game airing on KCBD.com and Streaming App

The Mustangs come in riding a 21-10 win over Lubbock High last week, a victory that snapped a lengthy losing streak. Coronado head coach Andrew Roy says the win has given his team some swagger heading into this one. Memorial, now in its second varsity season, is still searching for its first win at that level.

Quarterback David Bawcum and receiver Rebel Beckam have driven Coronado's turnaround, a connection players and coaches have started calling "Bawcum to Beckham." Coronado sits on the western edge of Lubbock ISD. Memorial represents the eastern side of Frenship ISD, making this a natural geographic matchup between two programs on opposite trajectories right now.

For Coronado, this is a chance to prove last week wasn't a fluke and build real momentum going into the back half of the season.
