Food for Thought: Lubbock health inspections temporarily shut down steakhouse, find dozens of violations - KCBD

Lubbock health inspectors temporarily shut down Kobe Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar on Milwaukee this week.
The walk-in cooler, important kitchen equipment, was running at a concerning 55 degrees, well above the safe 41-degree cold temperature required for food safety. Inspectors found multiple items, including raw beef, spicy tuna mix, fried calamari, and eggrolls, stored inside. Also, the cooler completely lacked a thermometer to monitor internal temperatures, a basic safeguard for any commercial kitchen.
