‘Gruesome crime’: Neighbor charged with murder after Georgia DoorDash driver found dismembered

The victim, Shanteria Mosley, known to family and friends as "KT," worked as a DoorDash delivery driver. Investigators said one of the bags "was pulled tightly showing the outline of a body part."

Smyrna police say the suspect lived at the same apartment complex as Mosley. Lt. Meredith Holt, the department's public information officer, didn't hedge when describing what her department uncovered at a press conference on Friday. "This is a shocking crime. I don't know how else to describe it," Holt said.

The killing hits close to home for gig workers who rely on delivery apps to make a living, often driving to unfamiliar addresses and buildings alone. Mosley's death has rattled her apartment complex, where neighbors now know that police say the person charged in her death lived among them.
