Tech, Big 12, announce 2027 Baseball schedule

Texas Tech Baseball released its full 2027 schedule Thursday, with head coach Tim Tadlock lining up 56 games including two matchups against defending national champion Oklahoma. The Red Raiders open at home Feb.
The Red Raiders open at home Feb. 19-21 with a three-game series against St. Mary's, an NCAA Regional Finalist out of the UCLA Regional last season. From there, Tech hits the road for six straight away from Rip Griffin Park, starting with a two-game midweek trip to UTSA.
Of the 56 games on the schedule, 28 come against teams that made the NCAA Tournament a season ago. That includes a Feb. 28 contest against Alabama, who appeared in the College World Series, and two dates with Oklahoma on March 3 and May 3. The Sooners won it all last year, making those the marquee matchups on the slate.
For Red Raider fans who fill Dan Law Field on a warm West Texas evening, this schedule delivers. Getting two cracks at the reigning national champions gives Tech a legitimate measuring stick early and late in the season, and the front-loaded difficulty means Tadlock's squad will know exactly where it stands before Big 12 play gets deep.
