Across town, Groves Branch Library at 5520 19th Street runs its Baby Storytime that same afternoon, from 2:00 to 2:30 PM. Held every second Monday, it lets parents in that part of the city plan ahead without checking the calendar every week. The session includes reading books and singing songs with the little ones.
For families near 9th Street or out by 19th, these two storytimes offer a free, low-key option on a Monday, one with a book to take home, the other with songs to sing.
