No. 23 Tech welcomes Boise State for Sunday home opener

No. 23 Texas Tech women's soccer hosts Boise State at home Sunday night at 7 p.m., looking to stretch a 15-match non-conference home winning streak.

The Red Raiders came back from Hawaii with a 1-0-1 record after a trip that covered nearly 7,000 miles. They beat the Rainbow Wahine 1-0 Thursday, then played Seattle U to a scoreless draw in conditions serious enough that the match was moved up a day to dodge what had become Hurricane Lulu.

Head Coach Tom Stone has never lost a home opener at Tech. His record in those matches stands at 18-0-1, which is the kind of number that starts to feel like a tradition more than a streak.
