Pair arrested after emerging from manhole near hotel where Netanyahu stays, police say

Police say the pair went underground before dawn Wednesday, and their emergence near the hotel triggered a citywide manhunt. Netanyahu was expected to stay at the hotel the following day, but police say the men's trip into the sewer system had nothing to do with him.

Investigators believe Rodriguez and Reveron were part of a broader pattern police have seen across the city. People climb into sewers to search for valuables and scrap metal that wash into the system. Both men face charges of criminal trespass.

With Netanyahu's visit looming and security tightened around the hotel, the two men were never going to walk away without questions, whatever they were actually doing down there.
