Broussard's Tech ties give the bank a built-in connection to the community, and his oversight of all six markets means decisions affecting Lubbock-area customers will run through someone with roots here. UMB quoted Broussard saying the company is "deeply committed to Lubbock and driving economic development across West Texas," which is exactly what you'd expect a new market president to say, but the hire itself backs it up.

Entering six markets simultaneously in 2025 was an unusually fast regional expansion for a bank that had no presence here before the Heartland deal closed.
