West Texas SHINE Girls and Women's conference celebrate 10th anniversary

The conference has been a fixture for a decade now, giving girls and women in Lubbock a dedicated space to gather each year. Hitting double digits says something about staying power in a city where plenty of one-off events come and go without ever building a following.
