The game had been tied 69-69 in the final seconds before Stipe's touchdown sealed it. Borden County moves to 5-0 while Whiteface drops to 4-1 after what the broadcast called one of the most anticipated matchups of the week.

The win earns Borden County a trip to the KCBD studios Sunday night as this week's "Team of the Week." Their interview airs on the newscast following NBC's Sunday Night Football game between the Rams and Broncos.

For a small-school program, that kind of statewide-network attention is rare air. The Coyotes will have a bye before opening district play at home against O'Donnell, so there's no game this weekend, just plenty to talk about on television.
