Texas Tech Volleyball Pulls Off Epic Comeback Victory

Texas Tech volleyball clawed back from a 0-2 hole to beat Prairie View A&M in five sets, part of a five-win stretch in their last seven games this season. The Lady Raiders picked up the win as part of the Red Raider Classic, where they took two of three games on September 10, with the Prairie View match following on Friday, September 11.

The Lady Raiders picked up the win as part of the Red Raider Classic, where they took two of three games on September 10, with the Prairie View match following on Friday, September 11. Freshman Sara Bowcutt led the charge with 25 kills, an eye-popping number for a first-year player still getting used to college volleyball. Fellow freshman Elia Dinsmore backed her up with 12 kills of her own.

Most teams don't claw back from a two-set deficit, let alone win the next three straight. For a Tech squad still finding its identity early in the season, digging out of that hole against Prairie View says something about the fight in this roster, especially with two freshmen doing the heavy lifting offensively.

For Tech fans, this is the kind of early season result that builds real buzz heading into conference play. A team built around young talent showing it can win ugly, not just when things go their way, tends to matter more in November than a clean sweep in September.

That's not a supporting cast, that's the show.
