The family broke the news on the restaurant's Facebook page. "It's happening sooner than we expected, and we know this is short notice, but we wanted to share one last goodbye with the people who have supported us along the way," the post said.
Customers can still grab a final meal or a drink before the doors lock, and the family hopes to say goodbye to loyal regulars and maybe meet a few new faces.
Dreamers served bubble waffles with fun toppings, K Dogs, boba drinks, sushi, bento boxes and alcoholic drinks. Tech students grabbed boba to take to class, and families sat down to full meals.
Many Lubbock fans shared sadness and support for the family. One said they loved going back constantly when they lived at ULofts. Another hoped the family's next direction turns into a grand adventure.
