Another Halloween event has joined the local calendar. The convention runs Saturday from 10 a.m. To 6 p.m. And Sunday, November 1, from noon to 6 p.m.

It bills itself as a "fun-filled Comic Con and TCG Card Show." Taylor played the horror character in the tenth Hellraiser film. He is not the original Pinhead. That would be Doug Bradley. Still, he belongs to one of horror's most recognizable franchises.

The show leans heavily into trading card games. The lineup includes tournaments, vendors, gaming areas, trading spaces, cosplay, collectibles, comic books, special guests and more.

For people in Lubbock, that gives Halloween weekend a stop other than trick-or-treating. Card players get tournaments and trading spaces, and collectors get vendors and comic books. Cosplayers get a weekend that already invites dressing up as a favorite character. Taylor's appearance gives horror fans a reason to go even if they never open a card pack.

Just remember that if somebody hands you a mysterious puzzle box that weekend, you should leave it alone.
