South Plains Mall and Premiere Cinemas + IMAX announced Premiere PLUS, a 45,000 square-foot family entertainment center that will connect directly to the existing 16-screen theater in Lubbock.
The locally owned and operated expansion would make the theater one of the region's largest entertainment centers. Inside, Premiere PLUS will feature 16 bowling lanes, multiple bumper-car arenas, more than 100 arcade games and a 7-D cinema experience.
The plan also adds a large play area for kids, party and event rooms, new cafes and a redemption center with prizes and rewards. Construction is underway. Premiere Cinemas projects doors opening in summer 2027.
The theater has been part of Lubbock since 2012. The company later upgraded its auditoriums with luxury recliners and laser projection.
Gary Moore, CEO of Premiere Cinemas, said the goal is a destination where families and friends can gather for movies, bowling, games, dining and special events, "all under one roof."
