Frontline told Lubbock ISD's leadership team Oct. 6, 53 days after the incident happened Aug. 14, 2026. Frontline says it discovered and fixed the problem the next day, Aug. 15. The district shared those details in a news release Wednesday.

As of Wednesday, Frontline says no Lubbock ISD student information was exposed, and the district says it will notify families immediately if that changes. The district is still working to get more details.

If you work for the district, expect to hear from Frontline starting Oct. 26, 2026. The company will contact affected people and explain what data was involved. It will offer two years of credit monitoring through TransUnion, which it brought in to manage the incident. Frontline also told the Texas Attorney General and law enforcement agencies. Questions go to a hotline at 833-516-8792, open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. To 8 p.m. Eastern Time. The district also encourages anyone exposed in a data security incident to turn to the Federal Trade Commission's identity theft resources.
