The breach also exposed email addresses and physical addresses. Frontline told the district the incident happened August 14th, 2026, and says it discovered and fixed the problem the next day. Lubbock ISD says it is still working to get more details about what happened.

The district says Frontline did not tell district leadership about the breach until that Tuesday. That is more than seven weeks after it happened.

For employees, the next step comes October 26th, when Frontline plans to begin contacting affected people. Those notices should spell out exactly what information of theirs was involved. Frontline has also notified the Texas Attorney General and law enforcement agencies, and it is partnering with TransUnion to provide two years of credit monitoring to people affected. A dedicated hotline is open at 833-516-8792.

Parents get one piece of better news. Frontline told the district that no student information was exposed, and Lubbock ISD says it will notify families as soon as it learns otherwise.
