Republican National Committee officials confirmed the schedule. Doors open at 11 a.m., the event starts at 1 p.m., and Trump delivers remarks at 2:30 p.m.
Paxton, the state attorney general, faces State Rep. James Talarico in the race for one of Texas' U.S. Senate seats. Talarico will be in Lubbock the same day. His Clear Eyes, Full Hearts Tour makes a campaign stop at the Frazier Alumni Pavilion on the Texas Tech campus, with doors at 6 p.m. And the program at 7 p.m.
If you want to see Trump, plan ahead. The RNC says an RSVP is required to attend, so showing up without one is a gamble. Doors open more than three hours before he speaks, which gives folks a long window to get inside.
Talarico's event comes hours after Trump's scheduled remarks wrap up at the civic center.
