The late start means some catch-up work. Anyone following along has to double up on tacos for a couple of days to hit all 31 stops. The writer who built the list promised to make it happen anyway.
Forty-eight options also build in a safety net. If a restaurant is closed on a given day, you pick another. The writer's own go-tos are Jimenez Y Friends for authentic tacos and Rosa's for giant taco platters, the more basic kind.
You can plan by street. At least four stops sit on 34th Street, including Jimenez y Friends Barbecue y Taqueria at 4606 34th St. Broadway has at least three: Chimy's at 2417, Miguel's LBK at 2002 and Fuzzy's Taco Shop at 2102, which also has a second location at 10101 Slide Rd., Ste. 101. Farther afield, Burrito King sits at 1620 Avenue Q and Mi Taco Village at 220 Regis St. The writer says hundreds more great tacos are out there, so the list works as a starting point for finding a new favorite.
