Game days transform the neighborhood — parking disappears 3 hours before kickoff. Walk or rideshare on home game Saturdays.
19th Street is the main commercial strip. University Avenue runs parallel one block south and has its own cluster of spots.
Most coffee shops close by 6–7pm. The bar scene doesn't start until after 9pm.
Texas Tech's campus itself is worth walking — the Spanish Renaissance architecture is genuinely beautiful.
