Raw ground beef sat over whole raw beef. Alfredo sauce and cut mango had no date marks. A tub of ice cream had cuts along its sides that showed the ice cream inside. Dirty plates and items sat with clean wares, and a dirty knife hung on a magnetic holder.

Employees also shut off the hand sink faucet with bare hands. The report says they must use a barrier like a paper towel to prevent cross contamination.

The inspector noted that, given the number and nature of the violations, the restaurant did not demonstrate food safety knowledge. Multiple repeat violations led to a $175 re-inspection fee.

Smaller problems filled the core list. A citrus squeezer sat in 62F standing water in the bar area. In the upstairs dry storage room, straws, cups, and lids sat on the floor. Staff dried clean wares with a cloth towel, and the inspector called the top surfaces of the cooking equipment visibly soiled.

The bar also had soiled nozzle holsters and a sanitizer bucket on the floor.

Bombshell's alone supplied 29 of the nearly 60 violations across the week's two low performers.
