The Bulldogs rushed for 200 yards and piled up more than 450 yards of offense. They converted more than half of their third downs and held sophomore quarterback Keelon Russell to 185 yards. Against a physical Tide defense, Gunner Stockton hit 18 of 22 passes.

Texas had held No. 1 despite a few lackluster games, but the mood around the team never improved after it upset Ohio State. Against Oklahoma, the Longhorns blew multiple double-digit leads. A blocked punt went for a touchdown, and a pick-six followed. A Texas timeout led to a 53-yard Sooners field goal, and penalties, mental mistakes and turnovers did the rest.

Six AP Top 25 teams lost overall. No. 7 Indiana needed a late comeback to survive Nebraska, and No. 15 Tennessee went on a 14-3 run in the fourth quarter to outlast Arkansas. Georgia, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Miami and Alabama have looked untouchable, while the rest of the field is a pile of parity.

Steve Sarkisian's sixth season brought the best roster money can buy, and Texas still lost on the things that don't require an ounce of talent.
