Corgan will play a special solo set instead of performing with the Smashing Pumpkins, the band he fronts. Death Cab for Cutie, Slightly Stoopid, Modest Mouse, Young the Giant, The Warning and Temper City round out the bill. Woody of ALT 98.7's nationally syndicated The Woody Show hosts.
The night mixes established alternative acts with newer ones. Evanescence brings its hard rock and gothic atmosphere, and The Offspring brings its punk-rock discography. Death Cab is known for the Billboard Hot 100 hit "Soul Meets Body." Modest Mouse also holds a Hot 100 spot with "Float On," one of the defining indie rock songs of the 2000s. Young the Giant brings an anthemic alternative sound. Slightly Stoopid are Southern California favorites.
The Warning is a Mexican rock trio of sisters Daniela, Paulina and Alejandra Villarreal. Temper City earned their first Billboard No. 1 over the summer when "Self Aware" topped Alternative Airplay.
