The racing runs 14 to 18 October, with riders fighting for rainbow jerseys across endurance and sprint events. The BBC is showing it.

Great Britain finished second last year. The Netherlands topped the table with nine golds, and Harrie Lavreysen won four of them, in the Keirin, Sprint, 1km Time Trial and Team Sprint.

GB arrives without two big names. Madison world champion Katie Archibald retired in May to pursue a career in nursing, and Olympic team sprint champion Katy Marchant announced her retirement last month. The team still includes eight world title winners and eight Olympic medallists.

Olympic team sprint champions Emma Finucane and Sophie Capewell want their world title back. Finucane shows up fresh off a record four golds at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games. Lowri Thomas and Rhianna Parris-Smith round out the women's sprint team.

Millie Couzens, Erin Boothman and Abi Miller make their elite World Championships debuts. Former world champions Meg Barker and Josie Knight bring experience, along with reigning individual pursuit champion Anna Morris. On the men's side, Harry Ledingham-Horn hopes to improve on last year's team sprint silver.
