The campaign says the tour started Oct. 2 and includes 96 stops across rural Texas over 32 days. Sheets plans to meet farmers, ranchers and families at town halls, farm and ranch visits and other events.

The tour will focus, the campaign says, on strengthening Texas agriculture, the food supply, school lunches, protecting land and water, rural economies and the growth of data centers. "Wherever possible, those dollars should buy Texas beef, dairy, fruits, vegetables and other whole foods from Texas farmers and ranchers," Sheets said in a news release.
